Ruth Maestre

Ruth was born and raised on a farm in Pendleton, IN. She graduated HS in 1980 and Attended Purdue University majoring in Forestry until the FAA hired her as an Air Traffic Controller. She retired from Government Service after 31+ years. She has her private and multi engine aircraft ratings. Ruth spent 12 years on the board of directors for Women in Aviation International and still volunteers for the organization running their largest annual fundraiser.

In 2017 Ruth and her partner chose Fernandina Beach as their retirement home. She also serves on the Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival Executive Board as Merchandise Director.
