Billy Cimino

Bill Cimino, Co-director

Bill is a native of Sharon, Pennsylvania and a 1986 graduate of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. He served in the U.S. Army as a Signal Officer from 1986-1992 stationed with the 43rd Signal Battalion in Germany and the 24th Infantry Division in Georgia. He deployed with the 24th Infantry Division during Operation Desert Storm 1990-91.

After being diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes, Bill decided to leave the service. Following the Army he went on to work with the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons where he served for 25 years. He retired in 2017 as the Regional Reentry Services Administrator for the Mid- Atlantic Region.

In 2017 he relocated to Fernandina Beach, Florida where he began working as a Boat Captain. In 2018 he and fellow Co-Director Paul Lore founded Cross the Line.  In 2021 Bill  along with Paul and two other team members formed Foar From From Home.  They rowed 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean in the Talisker Whisky Trans-Atlantic Challenge and as a team  raised more than $900,000.00 for Veteran Suicide and PTSD Awareness.
